This work explores the mechanics behind spaces becoming places through sensory engagement and historical awareness. Using sound and objects, it examines the bonds formed between humans and their geographic, material, and subjective environments.
It proposes a model of mutual constituency where these seemingly separate domains exist fluidly, continuously (re)defining one another. Using visual and auditory markers from personal history, the work reflects on the dynamics of self-identification and that of social bodies as integral organs of the fragmented physical, cultural, and psychological terrains we inhabit.
