Rigoberto Gallardo (f.k.a. Mvd0ae) is a Dutch-Mexican interdisciplinary artist and experimental musician born and raised in Jalisco, México (1998), currently based in The Hague, Netherlands.

He explores the cultural manifestations evoked by sound materials through arrangements focused on highlighting their timbral and textural properties. Mostly rejecting the grid as a rhythmic and compositional baseline, he relies on intuitive and organic gestures rather than mechanical metrics.

His work aims to underscore the polysemic nature of sensory signals as they are altered and reconfigured at different levels. This approach explores how layers of information generate, contribute to, and accentuate our diverse perceptual codes and abstract languages of experience.

He is a co-founder of the collective o_u (operating in Guadalajara, Prague, and Berlin), organizing live music events and releases with experimental musicians from diverse backgrounds whose practices blur the boundaries between genres and disciplines. o_u also organizes community-oriented workshops dedicated to sound production, deep listening, and the collective construction of sound archives.
